Our front doorknob is slippery AND takes a lot of strength to turn/unlatch (even without being slippery). My mom has pretty bad arthritis in her hands and limited use of one hand, which makes gripping anything painful when not impossible for her, so opening the front door was hell for her. I got this because of the extending bits (that look a bit like alternating bat wings) so she wouldnāt have to grip tightly.

bought this to help my senior mom with the screen door and I love it just as much as she does. It gives such a good grip on the knob without even having to grab it tightly. I can literally open the screen door with two fingers because of how great this grips. I've been having problems only with the door knob that goes from the kitchen to the garbage (and back), so I had been wrapping those thing rubber bands from vegetable purchases (on broccoli/asparagus) around the doorknob, and finally I decided that there must be a product made for this. I found these, and it's great! Never have a gripping issue again! It's easy to put on, always works, and very durable!
