My 3 year old for the life of him couldnt hold a pen/pencil the correct way. Now of course i wasnt pushing him to do so, but he sees adults do it and wants to imitate but just couldnt keep his fingers the way they were supposed to be. This little nifty tool, after using just a few times helped him be able to feel how his fingers should be, and after the 3rd or 4th time using it, no longer needed it! My son writes well but doesn’t hold the writing utensil correctly. I bought these hoping to correct his hold. He really likes them and says they are comfortable on his fingers. There’s no rubbing so they don’t rub into his skin. As long as they are holding the pencil or pen the grip doesn’t slip up and down the utensil.
