I got this for my elderly mom when she was having balance problems. At the same time, she ordered a much more expensive cane from another company. She loves this one. The other cane sets in the corner and is never used.

This new stick is light, made of metal and less easily damaged than wooden sticks, has a soft sponge handle and is much easier to use. Much, much better than the stick I use previously with a handle supposedly shaped for arthritis sufferers.

If you put a lot of weight on a cane your hand can become very painful after a period of time. This sponge handle absorbs a lot of the pressure as well as the shape providing a stable base for those of us who are unsteady on our pegs. I spent a long time looking for this item as I had one purchased in Canada which is worn out and am delighted that I have finally found a replacement at a reasonable cost.

I have used a similar stick for many years, but the 'brass' colour was gettting badly sctratched. This one is identical in performance (i.e. it absorbs shocks, is very comfortable to hold) and has a very useful hanging loop. I now have one in the car and one in the house for when I take the dog for a walk.
